Location Information

Ouainville is a village and commune 22 miles (35 kilometres) south-west of Dieppe, and 11 miles (18 kilometres) east of Fecamp on the road from Fecamp to Cany-Barville and Dieppe (N.25). The bus service between Fecamp and Cany-Barville passes through Ouainville. some 10 yards north-west of the church are the graves of 5 British soldiers, 3 of whom are not identified by name.


​Burial Details


7601616 Corporal Percival John Drew, 10 Army Workshop Recovery Sec., Royal Army Ordnance Corps, died 10th June 1940, aged 27. Son of Alfred and Bertha Drew; husband of Olive Millicent Drew, of Matfield, Kent.

7812995 Private Lawrence Marvell, 10 Army Workshop Recovery Sec., Royal Army Ordnance Corps, died 10th June 1940, aged 41. Son of William and Mary Marvell; husband of Hilda Marvell, of Gomersal, Yorkshire. His headstone bears the inscription "A Loving Memory Left Behind. He Did His Best, God Grant Him Eternal Rest"
