Location Information

Les Moutiers-Hubert is a village and commune 18 kilometres south of Lisieux. The churchyard is in the centre of the village. It contains 3 Commonwealth war graves of the First World War and one from the Second World War.

Pilot in 198 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force
7th June 1944, aged 21. 

Son of Albert Harry and Lily May Stokes, of Engadine, New South Wales, Australia. 

His headstone bears the inscription "A Voice That We Loved Is Still. A Brave Heart Sleeps"

21950 Private W. Ferguson, Durham Light Infantry transferred to (565849) 65th P. of W. Company, Labour Corps, died 13th October 1918. Native of North Ormsby, Yorks.

297379 Private Arthur Lefrancois, 15th Company, Canadian Forestry Corps, died 12th March 1918.

G/34258 Corporal J. White, Middlesex Regiment transferred to (565826) 65th P. of W. Company, Labour Corps, died 13th October 1918, aged 30. Husband of Mrs. L. White, of 213,Church Road, Leyton. Native of Leyton, London.
