Location Information

La Cressonnière is a small village and commune 9 miles (15 kilometres) south-south-east of Lisieux, and 3 miles (5 kilometres) west-north-west of Orbec. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, 14 yards north-east of the crucifix in the churchyard.


Burial Details


1555577 Flight Sergeant Robert Robb Blair, Pilot in 257 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 6th July 1944, aged 23. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Dalgliesh Blair, of Craigiebank, Dundee. Awarded a medal for gallantry by the City of Dundee, 1938. His headstone bears the inscription "Loving Son, So Generous And True, Our Dearest Possession, Memories Of You"
