Location Information

Les Bréviaires is a village and commune 26 kilometres south-west of Versailles, and 7 kilometres north of Rambouillet. The village can also be reached by bus from Le Perray and Rambouillet. The communal cemetery lies on the south-west side of the village on the road leading to St. Leger-en-Yvelines. The collective grave of 7 airmen, 6 belonging to the Royal Air Force, and to the Royal Canadian Air Force, is in the east corner of the cemetery.

All Seven Airmen were in 115 Squadron and killed on 8th June 1944.

Son of Henry Stephen and Marion Helen Elwin; husband of Winifred Alexander Elwin, of Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.

His headstone bears the inscription 
"They The Blessed Ones Gone Before, They Thy Blessed For Evermore"

2206292 Sergeant Philip Sidney Kidd, Flight Engineer in Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, aged 30. Son of Alfred Kidd and of Hannah Kidd (nee Crabtree); husband of Constance Revill Kidd, of Harpenden, Hertfordshire. His headstone bears the inscription "We Will Remember Them"

1894318 Sergeant Kenneth William Charles Moore, Air Gunner in Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

1389740 Sergeant Thomas Moreland, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, aged 21. His headstone bears the inscription "Of Seaham, Durham. Ever Remembered By Dad, Mam And Brian"
