Bézu-St.-Éloi is a village and commune 50 kilometres north-east of Evreux and 6 kilometres west-north-west of the small town of Gisors. The communal cemetery is about 100 yards north of the church, on a by-road. The Commonwealth grave is in the centre of the cemetery, about 27 yards north of the Calvary on the central path.

1321651 Sergeant Beresford Matthew Jacques, Air Bomber in 207 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th July 1944, aged 30. Son of Sydney and Julie Jacques; husband of Grace Lillian Jacques, of Upper Holloway, London. His headstone bears the inscription "Thy Will Be Done"
