Location Information

Bailleul-Neuville is a village 27 kilometres south-east of Dieppe, and 8 kilometres north of Neufchatel-en-Bray, which is 36 kilometres south-east of Dieppe.


Historical Information

Bailleul Neuville is a village and commune 17 miles (27 kilometres) south-east of Dieppe, and 5 miles (8 kilometres) north of Neufchatel-en-Bray, which is 23 miles (36 kilometres) south-east of Dieppe. The nearest railway station is Neufchatel-en-Bray, on the Dieppe-Paris line, where taxis are available. Also, there is a bus service on the Neufchatel-Londinieres-Dieppe road (N.3 14). The British grave is some 6 yards south of the church tower.



Burial Details

40038 Flying Officer William Campbell Wilkinson, Pilot in 43 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 7th June 1940, aged 26. Son of Florence Caroline Wilkinson, of Westcliffe-on-Sea, Essex.
