Location Information

Bailleul-Neuville is a village 27 kilometres south-east of Dieppe, and 8 kilometres north of Neufchatel-en-Bray, which is 36 kilometres south-east of Dieppe.

Historical Information

Bailleul Neuville is a village and commune 17 miles (27 kilometres) south-east of Dieppe, and 5 miles (8 kilometres) north of Neufchatel-en-Bray, which is 23 miles (36 kilometres) south-east of Dieppe. The nearest railway station is Neufchatel-en-Bray, on the Dieppe-Paris line, where taxis are available. Also, there is a bus service on the Neufchatel-Londinieres-Dieppe road (N.3 14). The British grave is some 6 yards south of the church tower.

Son of Florence Caroline Wilkinson, of Westcliffe-on-Sea, Essex.

His headstone bears the inscription "God For Some Reason, Beckoned You On A Little Way Ahead. Ever-Sorrowing Mother"
