WIERINGERWAARD GENERAL CEMETERY

Location Information

Wieringerwaard is 19 kilometres south-south-east of Den Helder, and 38 kilometres north-north-east of Alkmaar. The general cemetery is in the centre of Wieringerwaard, behind the town hall. In the northern part of the cemetery are the graves of airmen from the United Kingdom.

629129 Sergeant Reginald Bromley, Air Gunner in 97 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 13th June 1943. 

1791328 Flying Officer Noel Evans, Navigator in 254 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 17th January 1945, aged 31. Son of Evan and Lucy Evans, of Wolverhampton; husband of Alice Maud Evans, of Wolverhampton.

154038 Flying Officer James Arthur Grey, Navigator in 254 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 17th January 1945, aged 34. Son of William and Annie Elizabeth Grey, of Horsforth, Yorkshire.

55811 Flying Officer Frank Paul Trautman, Pilot in 254 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 17th January 1945, aged 28. Son of Paul and Frances Trautman.

173414 Flying Officer Geoffrey Dutton Warburton, Pilot in 254 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 17th January 1945, aged 20. 
Son of Air Commodore Peter Warburton, M.B.E., R.A.F., and Renee Warburton, of Westminster, London.
