70014 Captain Geoffrey Laurence Burgess, Royal Artillery attached to 653 A. O. P. Squadron, Royal Air Force, (Observer). Died 26th August 1944, aged 28. Son of Sydney Laurence and Ina Alexandra Burgess; husband of Margaret Jean Burgess, of Hexham, Northumberland. His headstone bears the inscription "Beloved Husband Of Margaret Of Oakwood, Hexham, Northumberland"
