Seven French Graves and the grave of Ida Winifred Benn

Ida Winifred Benn was allowed to be buried close to her son (Major Anthony Benn), who was killed in action in Vernon on August 27th, 1944, having only just successfully crossed the River Seine as part of an important Allied operation at the end of the Battle of Normandy. He is interred a very short distance away in a CWGC grave alongside other men who perished in the same action.
