Location Information

St. Rémy-Boscrocourt is a village and commune 15 miles 24 kilometres) north-east of Dieppe, and 4 miles (6 kilometres) south of Le Treport, on the D.78 road from Le Treport to Le Mesnil-Reaume. There is a railway station on the Eu to Dieppe line. North of the war memorial in the churchyard are the 3 British graves.


Burial Details


1542878 Sergeant Stanley Cookson, Air Gunner in 29 O. T. U. Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th January 1943, aged 31. Son of George Henry and Ada Cookson, of Rotherham, Yorkshire; husband of Jessie Evelyn Cookson, of Rotherham. His headstone bears the inscription "Ever In Our Hearts His Memory Will Remain" 

6288926 Private Ernest Thomas Foord, 4th Bn. The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment), died 10th June 1940, aged 21. Son of Stephan and May Foord; husband of Betty Marguerite Foord, of Stalisfield, Kent. His headstone bears the inscription In Memory "We Will Remember As The Years Roll By" Wife And Daughter"

71273 Captain Henry John Cuthbert Walker, 4th Bn. The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment), died 7th June 1940.
