Location Information

St. Maurice-St. Germain is a village and commune 3.75 miles (6 kilometres) north east of La Loupe, a small town on the D.928 road from Dreux to Nogent-le-Rotrou. The one British grave is in the centre of the churchyard.


​Burial Details


1891514 Sergeant Terence Holmes, Flight Engineer in 429 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 26th July 1944, aged 19. Son of Archibald and Eileen Mary Holmes, of Crook Log, Bexleyheath, Kent. His headstone bears the inscription "At The Going Down Of The Sun And In The Morning We Will Remember Him"
