Location Information
The village and commune of Friaize is 26 kilometres west of Chartres, and lies about one kilometre north of the N.23 road from that town to Nogent-le-Rotrou. In the south eastern corner of the churchyard is the grave of an airman of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

J/22384 Flight Lieutenant Alexander MacDonald, Pilot in 429 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, died 11th June 1944, aged 23. Son of Alexander William and Alice MacDonald, of Stamford, Ontario, Canada. INSCRIPTION. GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.
