Location Information

The village of Paluel is 40 kilometres west of Dieppe and 8 kilometres south-west of St Valery-en-Caux. The British plot is situated near the south-east corner of the churchyard.

There are 12, U. K. 1939-45 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, 3 are unidentified.

T/79003 Driver Alexander Anderson, 51st Div. Supply Company, Royal Army Service Corps, died 10th June 1940, aged 24. Husband of Agnes Anderson, of Barnhill, Perth. His headstone bears the inscription "The Sweetest Of All Is to Think Of You. His Loving Wife and Family"

35752 Driver Percival George James Davies, 3 G. H. Q. Artillery Company, Royal Army Service Corps, died 4th June 1940, aged 34. 
Son of Bernard Madge Davies and Sylvia Davies, of Plymouth; husband of Irene Florence Davies, of Cattedown, Plymouth.

T/84279 Corporal John Kidd, Royal Army Service Corps, died 10th June 1940, aged 21. 
Son of William and Catherine Kidd, of Perth.

30930 Staff Serjeant George Menzies, Mechanic, 51 Div. Supply Company, Royal Army Service Corps, died 11th June 1940, aged 37. Husband of Elizabeth R. Menzies. His headstone bears the Inscription "Fondly Remembered By His Wife Elizabeth And Daughter Muriel"

T/2750623 Corporal George Hill Nicoll, 51 Div. Supply Company, Royal Army Servie Corps, died 11th June 1940, aged 38. 
Son of Robert and Helen Sharp Nicoll, of Perth; husband of Mary Nicoll (nee Sibbald), of Perth. His headstone bears the inscription "Time Has Not Dimmed The Memory Of The One We Hold So Dear. You Will Always Be With Us"

T/77228 Driver George Ernest Putnam, Royal Army Service Corps, died 22nd May 1940, aged 32. 

137407 Private Eric Desmond Sansom, Royal Army Service Corps, died 22nd May 1940 and 11th June 1940,  aged 21. 
Son of David and Maggie May Sansom, of Isleworth, Middlesex. His headstone bears the inscription "Deep In Our Thoughts A Memory Yet Of One We Loved And Shall Never Forget"

T/90816 Driver William Wallace Spence, Royal Army Service Corps, died 8th June 1940, aged 30. 
Son of John and Grace Spence; husband of Doris Mary Spence, of Gresford, Denbighshire. His headstone bears the inscription "Love's Last Gift, Remembrance"

2973775 Corporal James Watt, Royal Army Service Corps, died 11th June 1940, aged 32. Son of David and Mary Watt, of Perth; husband of Annie McLean Watt, of Perth. His headstone bears the inscription "At The Going Down Of The Sun And In The Morning I Will Remember Him"
