Location Information

Nouvion-sur-Meuse lies about 9 kilometres south-east of Mezieres and 2 kilometres east of the main road (N.64) from that town to Sedan. The communal cemetery is near the north-eastern outskirts of the village on the D.33 road to Lumes. The Commonwealth grave is in the south-eastern portion of the cemetery.

Pilot in 218 Squadron, Royal Air Force
12th May 1940, aged 22.

Son of the Revd. Sidney William Bazalgette and Daisy Bazalgette, of Botus Fleming Rectory, Cornwall.

His headstone bears the inscription "Caught Up To Meet The Lord In The Air, And So Shall We Ever Be With The Lord"
