Location Information

Mouen is a village and commune 6 miles (10 kilometres) south-west of Caen, on the N.175 Caen to Vire road. The main part of the village and the church are north of this road. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, near the south-east corner of the churchyard.


Burial Details

4039914 Bombardier Walter J. Walker, 181st Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, 21st July 1944. Son of Albert and Florence Walker, of Holly Hall, Dudley, Worcestershire; husband of Emmie Walker, of Holly Hall. His headstone bears the inscription "He Made The Supreme Sacrifice. May Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him"
