Location Information

Le Pré-d'Auge is a village and commune 4 miles (6 kilometres) north-west of Lisieux, and 4 Kilometres) north-east of La Boissière. This a village on the N.13 Lisieux-Caen road. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, near the south-east corner of the church.


Burial Details


175289 Flying Officer James Simon Fraser Petherbridge, Pilot in 198 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 20th June 1944, aged 21. Son of Capt. Laurence. Angus Fraser Petherbridge, formerly of The King's Own Scottish Borderers, and Yvonne Jenny Marguerite Fraser Petherbridge; nephew of Sqdn. Ldr. C. A. Fraser Petherbridge, D.F.C., of Brixton, London.
