Location Information

Le Torquesne is a village and commune 9 kilometres north-west of Lisieux and the same distance south-west of Pont-l'Eveque. It lies 4 kilometres west of the road from Lisieux to Pont-l'Eveque. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, on the north side of the church tower.


Burial Details

4804500 Lance Corporal Thomas Kendall, 4th Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment, died 22nd August 1944, aged 24. Son of Charles and Emily Kendall, of Gosberton, Lincolnshire. His headstone bears the inscription "The Only Son Of Charles And Emily. God's Last Gift, Remembrance. At Rest In The Lord"
