Location Information

La Gaillarde is a village and commune 15 miles (24 kilometres) south-west of Dieppe and 7 miles (11 kilometres) south-east of St. Valery-en-Caux. There is a bus service on the Veules-les-Roses-Yerville road (N.315) which is about 1 mile west of La Gaillarde. The British grave is near, and east of the entrance to the churchyard.


Burial Details


3319045 Private George Robinson, 5th Bn. Gordon Highlanders, died 11th June 1940, aged 22. Son of Matthew R. and Margaret H. Robinson, of Felling, Gateshead, Co. Durham. His headstone bears the inscription "A Day Of Memory Sad To Recall Without Farewell He Left Us All"
