Location Information

​Herwijnen is situated about 12 kilometres east of Gorinchem on the north bank of the river Waal. The cemetery is in the centre of Herwijnen, 45 metres north of the dyke road to Gorinchem. The two British graves are in the south-eastern part, near the entrance.

Son of Vernon Cheveley Phillips and Frances Wylie Phillips, of Wickford, Essex.

His headstone bears the inscription "O Valiant Heart"

 Son of Frank U. and Dorothy Reynolds; husband of Kathleen Brenda Reynolds, of Cambridge. His headstone bears the inscription "Knowing Well He Is Not Lost Nor Dead But More Alive Than When We Knew Him Here"
