Location Information

Criquebeuf-la-Campagne is a village and commune 9 kilometres south of the town of Elbeuf. The churchyard is in the centre of the village. Near the south-western corner of the church is the grave of an airman of the Royal Australian Air Force.

Burial Details


429431 Flight Sergeant Vernon Nelson Hansen, Air Gunner in 158 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force, died 3rd June 1944, aged 21. Son of William Henry and Rosie Maud Hansen, of Warwick, Queensland, Australia. His headstone bears the inscription "His Duty Fearlessly And Nobly Done. Ever Remembered"
