Chuffilly-Roche is a village and commune some 23 miles (37 kilometres) south of Mezieres and 11.25 miles (18 kilometres) east-south-east of Rethel. Communications are very poor, and the only practical method of visiting the village is by taxi from Rethel, which is on the main railway line from Paris to Luxembourg. The communal cemetery is on the north-eastern outskirts of the village on the D.23 road to Voncq.
The one British grave is near the south-western corner.

77793 Pilot Officer Frank Sydenham, Pilot in 73 Squadron, Royal Air Force (Auxiliary Air Force), died 26th May 1940, aged 26. Son of Leonard Sydenham, and of Mildred May Sydenham, of Gosforth, Newcastle-on-Tyne; stepson of Mr. I. E. Hansen, of Gosforth. His headstone bears the inscription "Hero Of The Heavens. A Dearly Loved Son And Brother. Always Remembered"
