Location Information

Branville is a village and commune 30 kilometres north-east of Caen, and 21 kilometres north-west of Lisieux. The churchyard is in the centre of the village.

There are 2 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 war, near the south-west corner of the churchyard, one of which is unidentified.


Burial Details

903274 Lance Corporal Thomas Blackmore Nimmo, 6th Airborne Division, Provost Company, Corps of Military Police, died 6th June 1944, aged 22. Husband of Annie H. Nimmo, of Greenock, Renfrewshire. His headstone bears the inscription "Oh, How I Miss You, Daddy Dear, I Often Wish You Were Here. Daughter Marion"
