Blonville-sur-Mer is a village and commune 22 miles (35 kilometres) north-east of Caen, and 4 miles (6 kilometres) south-west of Deauville, on the coast of Normandy. The village consists of two distinct parts; Blonville-sur-Mer-Plage on the coast, and Blonville-sur-Mer, where the churchyard is situated, which is 2 miles inland south of the plage. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war, near the north-west corner of the church.

953518 Sergeant William Bell, Flight Engineer in 207 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 24th October 1942, aged 24. Son of Thomas and Mary Bell, of Ardrossan, Ayrshire. His headstone bears the inscription "How Bright These Glorious Spirits Shine"
