Location Information
The village of Zeddam in the commune of Bergh is only a few kilometres from the Dutch-German frontier. It is 28 kilometres south-east of Arnhem and 6 kilometres south of Doetinchem, on the road to Emmerich in Germany. The cemetery is about 455 metres north of the village centre, on the eastern side of the road to Doetinchem. The three war graves, are located in the south-eastern part of the cemetery.

Herbert George Watson
9 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force
12th June 1943, aged 19.
Son of Herbert Hutton. Watson and Aileen Watson, of South Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
His headstone bears the inscription "In Memory Ever Dear"
Herbert was the gunner on Avro Lancaster WS-S ED558 that crashed at Braamt (3K m N of Zeddam), after leaving Bardney airfield on a raid to Bochum. They had completed their mission and were on their way back. Herbert and the pilot, Warrant Officer Herbert Edward Wood, were killed and the remaining 5 airmen became POWs who survived the war.
