The town of Bayeux, in Normandy, lies 24 kilometres north-west of Caen. Bayeux Eastern Cemetery is on the south-eastern outskirts of the town, on the south side of the road to Caen. The Commonwealth graves are in the north-eastern corner of the cemetery, in Plot 9.

1st Bn. Rifle Brigade
20th June 1944, aged 22.
Son of the Rt. Revd. Neville Stuart Talbot, D.D., M.C.,(the co-founder of TocH) and Cecil Mary Talbot; nephew of Lavinia C. Talbot, of Chelsea, London. Scholar of Trinity College, Oxford.
His headstone bears the inscription "I Am The first And The Last And The Living One; And I Was Dead, And Behold, I am Alive..."

186294 Major Francis Arthur Dorrien-Smith, 1st Bn, Rifle Brigade, 20th June 1944, aged 22. Son of Maj. Arthur Algernon Dorrien Smith and Eleanor Salvin Dorrien Smith, of Tresco, Isles of Scilly. His brothers Algernon and Francis also died on service. Algernon is buried in Lapugnoy Military Cemetery in France and Francis is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey in England". His headstone bears the inscription "Being Made Perfect In A Short Time, He Fulfilled A Long Time"
