Location Information

Angoulins is a village and commune 8 kilometres south of the port of La Rochelle. The Cemetery is on the left of the road (D202) approaching the village from La Rochelle.

There are 2 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 War here, to the left beyond the central monument.



Burial Details

538667 Leading Aircraftman James Francis McMaster, Royal Air Force died 25th June 1940.

4743839 Private Harry Quarmby, 1/5th Bn. Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment), died 17th June 1940, aged 32. Son of Herbert and Jane Ellen Quarmby, of Bramley, Leeds, Yorkshire; husband of Gladys Quarmby.
