1461543 Gunner Alexander Winchester, 162 Battery, 54 (9th Bn. The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders) Lt. A. A. Regiment, Royal Artillery, died 6th June 1940, aged 28. Son of Alexander Winchester, and of Jessie Winchester, of Invergordon, Ross and Cromarty. His headstone bears the inscription "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus"
