VILLERS-VERMONT COMMUNAL CEMETERY

Location Information

Villers-Vermont is a village and commune 30 kilometres north-west of Beauvais, and 9 kilometres south of Formerie. The communal cemetery lies on the northern side of the village some 300 yards from the church. The grave of the 1 British soldier is near the centre of the western boundary hedge.


Burial Details


6851178 Corporal George Nicholls, 2nd Bn. King's Royal Rifle corps, died 31st August 1944, aged 29. Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Nicholls, of Greenwich, London. His headstone bears the inscription "Gone From Us But Not Forgotten Never Shall Thy Memory Fade"
