Vichy is a large town and commune in the Department of the Allier, 48 kilometres south of Moulins, the chief town of the department. It was the seat of Marshal Pétain's Government during the 1939-1945 War. The communal cemetery is on the northern side of the town. The one 1939-1945 British war grave is north-west of the entrance.

Son of Alfred Carnegie Bisset and of Renee Bisset (nee Lacroix); husband of Winifred Bisset, of Cottesloe, Western Australia. His headstone bears the inscription "Beloved Husband Of Winifred And Father Of Laura AA, Requiescat In Pace"
