Les Martres-de-Veyre is a village and commune some 13 kilometres south-east of Clermont-Ferrand. The village is approximately 450 metres off, and east of, the main road from Clermont-Ferrand. The communal cemetery is north of the village, on the eastern side of the road to Le Gendre. The one war grave is north-west of the entrance, and is marked by a private memorial.

R/114740 Flight Sergeant Peter Dmytruk, Air Gunner in 405 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, died 9th December 1943, aged 23. Croix de Guerre. Son of George and Mary Dmytruk, of Wynyard, Saskatchewan, Canada.
