Location Information

Veauville-lès-Baons is a village and commune 34 kilometres north-west of Rouen, and 4 kilometres north of Yvetot, which is a small town on the N.31 bis Le Havre-Rouen road 52 kilometres north-east of Le Havre. The village is about mid-way between the D.131, Yvetot to Cany-Barville, and the D.37, Yvetot to Doudeville, roads. In the churchyard, 15 yards north of the church tower, is the collective grave of 7 airmen.

Son of John and Mabel Chadwick, of Manchester; husband of Margaret Patricia Chadwick, of Wythenshawe, Manchester. 

His headstone bears the inscription "Dearly Loved Husband Of Pat. And Father Of John. We Will Never Forget You"

410365 Flight Lieutenant Herbert Clifford Jones, Pilot in 138 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force, died 8th June 1944, aged 28.  Son of Herbert Henry and Jovita Jones, of Thornbury, Victoria, Australia. His headstone bears the inscription "Loved Son Of H. H. And J. Jones, Brother Of Phyllis & Dorothy, Melbourne"

1861978 Sergeant Douglas James Ashley Kemp, Flight Engineer in 138 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th June 1944, aged 20. Son of James William and Edith Kemp, of Romford, Essex. His headstone bears the inscription "For Our Tomorrow They Gave Their Today"

1394482 Flight Sergeant Harold Annals Monsen-Elvik, Navigator in 138 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th June 1944.

1608629 Sergeant Graham Bernard Charles Moore, Air Gunner in 138 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th June 1944, aged 20. 
Son of Thomas Henry and Winnifred Ivy Moore, of Honicknowle, Plymouth. His headstone bears the inscription "O For The Touch Of A Vanished Hand, And The Sound Of A Voice That Is Still!"
