Location Information

Trébeurden is a village and commune 65 kilometres north-west of St. Brieuc and 8 kilometres north-west of Lannion. 
The communal cemetery is on the eastern side of the village, on the northern side of the road to the coast from the village of Pleumer-Bodou. The burials are north-east of the entrance, just north of the central path.


Burial Details


629173 Sergeant Cecil Calvert, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in 51 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 4th April 1941, aged 19. Son of Robert Henry and Hannah Calvert, of Sunderland, Co. Durham. His headstone bears the inscription "He died That We Might Live In Peace A Sacrifice Always To Be Remembered" 

621070 Sergeant Daniel Gilfillan Farmer, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in 51 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 4th April 1941, aged 23. Son of Joseph Beattie Farmer and Janet Gilfillan Farmer, of Glasgow; husband of Emily Farmer. His headstone bears the inscription "Rest In The Lord"

39439 Flight Lieutenant James Harrington, Pilot in 51 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 4th April 1941, aged 28. Son of James J. Harrington and Ellen Harrington, of Clontarf, Co. Dublin, Irish Republic. His headstone bears the inscription "Requiescat In Pace" 

745273 Sergeant Thomas Halford Knighton, Observer in 51 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 4th April 1941, aged 26. Son of William and Laura Emma Knighton, of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. B.A. His headstone bears the inscription "Sweet Is The Memory Of Departed Worth. Mother Father And Family

745547 Sergeant John Kirkwood, Pilot in 51 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 4th April 1941, aged 20.
Son of Francis Kenneth and Kate Alice Purdon, of Bridlington, Yorkshire. L.A.I. His headstone bears the inscription "At The Going Down Of The Sun And In The Morning We Will Remember Them"
