Location Information

St. Samson is a village and commune on the Caen-L'Eveque road (N.815), 9 miles (15 kilometres) east of Caen. The church is 500 yards south of the main road down a narrow lane. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, in the north-west corner of the churchyard.


Burial Details

412727 Flight Lieutenant Ronald Harold Small, Royal Australian Air Force, died 23rd June 1944, aged 22. Son of Harold Campbell Small and Ettie Small, of Epping, New South Wales, Australia. His headstone bears the inscription "With Morning Sunrise And Evening Sunset We Shall Remember Him"
