Location Information

St. Nazaire-sur-Charente is a small village to the West of Rochefort in the Charente-Maritime region of France. The Communal Cemetery is located off the Rue de l'Église.


Burial Details


523638 Corporal William Charles Rushton, Royal Air Force, died 17th June 1940, aged 25. Foster-son of Albert Henry and Emily Allum, of Dagenham, Essex. His headstone bears the inscription "In Everloving Memory Of Bill We Shall Remember. Mum, Dad And Family"

13005164 Private Thomas Edward White, Aux. Mil. Pioneer Corps, died 17th June 1940, aged 36. Son of John Henry and Ann Elizabeth White; husband of Lilian May White, of Clowne, Derbyshire. His headstone bears the inscription "In Loving Memory Of A Dear Husband & Dad, Until We Meet Again. Wife & Family"
