Location Information
Senonches is a small town and commune 36 kilometres north-west of Chartres, and 10 kilometres north of La Loupe. The communal cemetery is on the north-eastern side of the town, on the D.20 road to the neighbouring village of Mesnil-Thomas. In the far left (north) corner is one British 1914-1918 War grave. Near the centre of the eastern wall is the collective grave of five airmen of the Royal Air Force who died during the 1939-1945 War.
World War One Burial
19061 Sergeant F. Voss, 2nd Bn. Dorsetshire Regiment, transferred to (571064) Prisoner Of War Company, Labour Corps, died 6th November 1918.
World War Two Burials
All five British Airmen were in the 24 Operational Training Unit, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve and were killed on 9th December 1942.
