Rugles is a small town on the road from Évreux to l'Aigle and the communal cemetery is on the northern side of the town. In a small plot of French military and civilian war victims graves, and some 18 yards south-west of the Calvary in the centre of the burial ground, are the graves of three airmen of the Royal Air Force and one airman of the Royal Australian Air Force.

Brentnall, of Rangemore, Staffordshire. His headstone bears the inscription "I Have Fought A Good Fight, I Have Finished My Course, I Have Kept The Faith"
1153700 Sergeant James John Griffin, Air Gunner in 61 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th August 1943, aged 23. Son of Llewellyn and Florence Annie Griffin, of Bath, Somerset. His headstone bears the inscription "He Loved Us, We Loved Him; For Ever In Our Thoughts. Mother And Dad"
149693 Pilot Officer Conrad Larnach, Navigator in 61 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th August 1943, aged 22. Son of Conrad and Elizabeth Ann Larnach, of Willington, Co. Durham. His headstone bears the inscription "In A Land Across The Sea That Is Where Our Thoughts Will Always Be. Mam, Dad, Sister"
