Pont-Rémy is a village and commune on the right (north) bank of the river Somme 8 kilometres south-east of Abbeville, on the N1 road to Poix, Beauvais and Paris. The communal cemetery is on the eastern side of the village, south of the D.112 road to the neighbouring village of Cocquerel. Just east of the war memorial within the cemetery are the graves of three British soldiers, one of whom is not identified.

7882459 Trooper Robert Raglan Chitty, the Queen's Bays (2nd Dragoon Guards), Royal Armoured Corps, died 25th May 1940, aged 26. Son of William Edward and Florence Chitty, of Woking, Surrey; husband of Edith Mary Chitty, of Woking.
