Pont l'Éveque is a small town 17 kilometres north of Lisieux on the Lisieux to Honfleur road. The Communal Cemetery is on the road from Pont l'Éveque to Caen and is about 2 kilometres south-west of the centre of the town.
There are 4 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 war here, 1 of which is unidentified, located near and west of the large crucifix in the centre of the cemetery.

14202907 Private George Hinchcliffe, 13th (2/4th Bn. The South Lancashire Regt.) Bn. The Parachute Regiment, A. A. C., died 23rd August 1944, aged 21.
39639 Squadron Leader James Archibald Findlay MacLachlan, D. S. O., D. F. C. and two bars, Air Fighting Development Unit, Royal Air Force, died 31st July 1943, aged 24. Son of Hugh Findlay MacLachlan, and of Helen Mac Lachlan (nee Orr-Ewing), of East Grinstead, Sussex. His brother Gordon Baird MacLachlan also fell.
132983 Flying Officer Lawrence Gerard Purcell, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in 226 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 28th August 1944, aged 35. Son of John and Annie Purcell, of Liverpool.
