Location Information

The village of Morville is situated to the west of Dinant on the N97. From the motorway E411 turn off at Junction 20 onto the N97 in the direction of Dinant. Follow the N97 through Dinant and on towards Phillipville. At the junction with the N951 turn left to Morville. The cemetery is along this road on the right before the village.


Historical Information

Morville Communal Cemetery contains one Commonwealth burial of the First World War and one of the Second World War.



World War One Burial

11199 Staff Sergeant Alfred William Askew, Mechanic in 4th Div. Trans. Sect., Australian Army Service Corps, died 28th December 1918. Son of Michael and Caroline Askew, of Victoria St., Geelong, Victoria, Australia.


World War Two Burial

1814808 Sergeant Joseph Maurice Andre Adelin G. Lanis, Pilot in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 17th January 1944. Son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Lanis, of Morville, Province de Namur, Belgium.
