Location Information

Montfoort is 17 kilometres south-west of Utrecht, and 46 kilometres east-north-east of Rotterdam. The cemetery is on the south-western side of the village, on the east side of the road from Montfoort to Oudewater.

All the following were in 90 Squadron, Royal Air Force/Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve and killed on 4th February 1943

1365001 Sergeant George Chirrey Adam, aged 27.  Son of John Adam, and of Jeannie Chirrey Adam, of Kirkcaldy, Fife. His headstone bears the inscription "One Family, We Dwell In Him, One Church, Above And Beneath"

1338021 Sergeant Patrick Joseph Egan, aged 19. Son of Daniel and Kathleen Egan.

577165 Sergeant Leslie Howard Jenkins, aged 20. Son of George and Bessie Jenkins.

1552454 Sergeant Claud Gordon Humphrey Mactavish, aged 21. 
Son of Lieut. Gordon Mitchell Humphrey Mactavish, R.N.V.R., died on service 16th November, 1947, and Helena Mactavish, of Ardrossan, Ayrshire. His headstone bears the inscription "Beloved Son Of Lieut. & Mrs. Gordon Mactavish Of Ardrossan, Scotland"

102536 Flying Officer Frederick Arthur Parton, aged 24. Son of George and May Parton, of Stirchley, Birmingham; husband of Edna Parton. His headstone bears the inscription "For Ever Young and Smiling, In God's Eternal Spring"

138689 Pilot Officer Gerald Stephens, aged 21. 
Son of David and Lena Stephens, of Sutton, Surrey. His headstone bears the inscription "Deeply Mourned And Sadly Missed. God Rest His Soul In Peace"
