Hornoy is a village and commune 28 kilometres west of Amiens, 30 kilometres south-south-east of Abbeville and 4 kilometres west of the N.1 road from Abbeville to Poix. The Communal cemetery is on the western side of the village, and the one British grave is in the south-eastern corner.

Second Lieutenant William John Thomson Irving, 76 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, died 10th June 1940, aged 24. Son of George and Elizabeth Irving, of Annan, Dumfriesshire.
