Location Information

Glos-sur-Risle is a village and commune lying between Évreux and Pont-Audemer. The church and churchyard are about 500 yards south-west of the railway station. Near the centre of the western wall is the collective grave of four airmen of the Royal Air Force.

131825 Flying Officer Eric Robert Mills, Navigator/Bomber in 98 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 23rd July 1944, aged 24. Son of John and Clara Mills, of Bingley, Yorkshire. INSCRIPTION. TO LIVE IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WE LOVE IS NOT TO DIE.

1074957 Flight Sergeant William Taylor, Wireless Operator in 98 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 23rd July 1944, aged 22. Son of William and Margaret Taylor, of Leyland, Lancashire.

1182832 Sergeant Charles Eldred Wilfred Thomas, Air Gunner in 98 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 23rd July 1944.

23rd July 1944, aged 22. 

Son of William Clifford St. Clair Weeks and Julia Eleanor Weeks, of Leicester.

His headstone bears the inscription "His Life Was Beautiful, His Memory Treasured, His Presence With Us Always"
