Location Information

Heesbeen is a small village in the commune of Eethen. It is 6 kilometres south-east of the village of Eethen, and3 kilometres south-west of Heusden. The churchyard is directly behind the small ancient church in the centre of the village.

The Churchyard contains one U. K. Airman from World War Two. 

Burial Details

149587 Flying Officer Robert Oliver Brigden, 605 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 1st September 1944, aged 21. Son of John Alexander Brigden and Dora Emily Brigden; husband of Nellie Louise Brigden, of Edmonton, Middlesex. His headstone bears the inscription "Sleep On, Dear Bob, Take Thy Rest On Earth Is Strife In Heaven Sweet Rest"
