DAGNY-LAMBERCY CHURCHYARD

Aisne

France

GPS Coordinates: Latitude: 49.77089, Longitude: 4.04248

Location Information

The commune of Dagny-Lambercy, comprising the village of Dagny and the hamlet of Lambercy, is 25 miles (40 kilometres) north-east of Laon and about 8 miles (13 kilometres) south-east of Vervins, a small town and sub-prefecture on the Laon-Maubeuge road (N. 2). The nearest railway station is 6 miles (10 kilometres) to the south at Montcornet on the Laon-Liart line, but the service is poor. There is, however, a bus service from Laon to Montcornet, where taxis are available. Laon has good railway communications with all parts of France. The church is at Dagny, the main part of the commune. The one British grave in the churchyard is about three yards from the northern boundary hedge, between it and the church.
