Crèvecoeur-en-Auge is a village and commune 19 kilometres west of Lisieux, and 17 miles (27 kilometres) east of Caen, on the main (N.13) Lisieux to Caen road. The communal cemetery is about 500 yards to the north-east of the village. It lies on the left of the D.101 road from Crèvecoeur-en-Auge to Cambremer. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, near the entrance to the cemetery.

Son of Arthur and Lily Emma Linley, of Pontefract, Yorkshire; husband of Rose Anne Linley, of Pontefract. His headstone bears the inscription "I Was Not There When You Said Good-Bye But In My Heart You Will Never Die"
