Location Information

Crépon is a village 12 kilometres north-east of Bayeux, on the road from Bayeux to Ver-la-Riviere, a hamlet between Arromanches and Courseulles, which are on the coast. There are 2 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 war here, near the northern boundary of the churchyard.

Burial Details

1143334 Aircraftman 1st Class David Harris, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 10th June 1944, aged 23. Son of William Boundy Harris and Lilian Elizabeth Harris, of Clifton, Bristol. His headstone bears the inscription "Until The Day Break, And The Shadows Flee Away. The Song Of Songs"

1446612 Corporal Frank Thomas Onley, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 10th June 1944, aged 23. Son of George Thomas and Bessie Onley, of Mitcham, Surrey. His headstone bears the inscription "R. I. P."
