Location Information
The town of Beesd is situated to the west of Tiel off the A2. From the motorway A2 turn off at Geldermalsen and follow the main road in the direction of Rumpt. Take the second turning on the right into Veerweg, cross over the river, and the cemetery is on the right.
There are six Commonwealth Airmen from World War Two buried here.
All six Airmen were in 75 Squadron and killed on 24th May 1943.

1077692 Sergeant Ronald Bell, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, aged 22. Son of Bernard and Hilda Bell, of Otley, Yorkshire; husband of Marguerite Bell, of Otley. His headstone bears the inscription "At The Going Down Of The Sun And In The Morning We Will Remember Them"
417063 Sergeant Frederick John Leigh Joblin, Royal New Zealand Air Force, aged 25. Son of Frederick Leigh Joblin and Ivy Joblin, of Morere, Poverty Bay, New Zealand; husband of Mary Esther Joblin, of Gisborne, Auckland, New Zealand.
1809725 Sergeant Derrick George Amos Storey, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, aged 19. Son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Storey, of Clapham, London. His headstone bears the inscription "All You Had, You Gave To Save Mankind-Yourselves You Scorned To Save" Mum.
