The village of Bazinghen is about 8 miles (13 kilometres) north-north-east of Boulogne and 2.25 miles (4 kilometres) north-west of Marquise, a small town on the N.1. road from Boulogne to Calais. The nearest railway station is at Marquise, where taxis are available. The British airman's grave is in the western corner of the churchyard.
748504 Sergeant Michael Keymer, Pilot in 65 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 22nd August 1940, aged 24. Son of Bernard William Keymer, and of Ellen Constance Keymer, of Farnham, Surrey. His brother John Gilbert Keymer also fell and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial in Surrey.
