Location Information

Barneveld is 32 kilometres north-west of Arnhem and 16 kilometres due east of Amersfoort. The General Cemetery is located west of the town and on Narcissenstraat. 

The cemetery contains a Dutch National who fought in 322 Dutch Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

132084 Flying Officer Baron Egbert Joost Van Nagell, 322 Dutch Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 28th January 1944. Plot A. Grave 120 (Private Memorial)

The Grave of the Joost van Nagell family in the New General Cemetery in Barneveld includes the remains of Flying Officer Baron Egbert Joost van Nagel who was killed in action whilst on patrol in France on 28 January 1944. He was originally buried in Merville Communal Cemetery in France but after a request from his family he was reburied in the family plot in 1947.
