Location Information

Zwartewaal is a small village and commune lying 24 kilometres west-south-west of Rotterdam and 38 kilometres south of The Hague. The cemetery is about 800 metres south-west of the village, on the eastern side of the road to Nieuwland. The war graves lie in a prominent position in the centre.

His headstone bears the inscription "Beloved And Only Son Of LT. Col. L. Worthington-Wilmer, Penwithen, Gerrans,Cornwall"

His headstone bears the inscription "O God, In Thy Precious Keeping, Guard Him Till We Meet Again. His Wife And Family"

Regiment, Royal Artillery, died 20th May 1945, aged 24.  Son of George and Ellen Groombridge; husband of Phyllis Beatrice Groombridge, of Wallington, Surrey. His headstone bears the inscription "Wherever I Go, Whatever I Do, My Thoughts, Dear, Are Always With You"

14247784 Gunner Percy Lowman, 126 (9th Bn. The Middlesex Regiment.) Lt. A. A. Regiment, Royal Artillery, died 20th May 1945, aged 21. Son of William and Ellen Lowman, of Kingswood, Bristol. His headstone bears the inscription "Silent Thoughts True And Tender, Of One We Loved And Will Always Remember"

Regiment, Royal Artillery, died 20th May 1945, aged 21. Son of Sydney Percival and Alice Maud Wheeler, of Welling, Kent.
